| Summary: | The monitoring system is to measure the weather and structural conditions of a bridge. The measured data are logged in a database, and at the same time, processed by a personal computer to obtain a primary result of analysis. The database would also be used for more precise analyses, including a statistical one to review the design method and work out more reasonable one. This paper introduces the outline of the monitoring system, highlighting on the actual application which was employed in the Honshu-Shikoku Bridges. |
